Our singlespeed bikes can be used either as a regular bike or fixed gear bike. Fixed gear or track bikes have their rear cog attached or "fixed" to the rear wheel. A fixed gear bicycle is essentially a singlespeed bicycle. However, singlespeed bikes allow the rider to coast without pedaling. But on a fixed gear bike you can't coast without pedaling. If you're new to fixed gear bikes, or prefer the comfort of the occasional coast, flip around your rear wheel anytime to switch from fixed to not.
