Here’s a custom Socrates Cargo Bike we made for the folks at Green Guru that will be used to run their pedal-powered sewing machines.

Green Guru is Boulder, CO based gear company that upcycles hard-to-recycle materials, like inner tubes, vinyl and climbing rope from shops, manufacturers, and people from all over the country to make exceptional outdoors gear: http://www.greengurugear.com.

We were asked to create a custom bike to integrate into the 2013 Sunset Magazine Idea House.  Sunset and its team of expert editors are building two Idea Houses that exemplify the casual, beautiful, and innovative ideas that are found in their pages as well as throughout the bike-friendly new beach town on the Washington Coast.

Designed by new urbanist town planner, Laurence Qamar of Portland, Oregon, Seabrook has become a diverse and swiftly growing pedestrian and bike friendly town. Seabrook is located just 30 miles from the south entrance to Olympic National Park and is only a 2.5 hour drive from Seattle and 3 hours from Portland, Oregon.
